Uniform Expectations

At Glebelands School we expect students uniform to reflect the high expectations and standards we set of our students.

Glebelands skirts, girls’ trousers, sweaters polo shirts, ties and sportswear can only be obtained from the school shop. In addition to these specific items of uniform they offer all other items at very reasonable prices because they do not have the overheads of a high street shop.

Students who attend the school in incorrect uniform must see their Head of Achievement with a letter from home and will be presented with a time-bonded yellow card to resolve the issue.

School Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop will be closed on Monday 26th September and Monday 3rd October due to holidays.  The shop will open on Thursday 29th September and Thursday 6th October from 3.30pm-4.15pm for PRE ORDERED COLLECTIONS ONLY.  NO PURCHASES CAN BE MADE IN STORE ON THESE DATES.

Uniform should be ordered online where possible. To order please CLICK HERE. All orders are processed at the school shop during the term time opening hours. Please wait for the 'order completed' email from Direct Clothing, normally 1-3 working days which means your order is ready to collect from the shop during opening hours only.

Stock items can be purchased in the site shop and payment is by card only.

Opening hours are term time only, Mondays and Thursdays 3pm-4.15pm, no appointment necessary.

Pedestrian access is through the Christopher Robin Nursery Car Park from where it is sign posted. Please Note – there is no access through the main school site or any buildings at any time. The uniform shop at Glebelands School is run by ‘Direct Clothing Company’ who have shops in over thirty schools in the United Kingdom. The company has been supplying uniform, corporate/promotional clothing and team wear for over fifteen years. Basic list of items required from school shop:

  • Blazer (this can be purchased elsewhere but school badge must be shown on front pocket)
  • Tie (black tie Year 11 students only)
  • Skirt
  • PE Polo Shirt
  • PE Skort/Shorts/Leggings/tracksuit bottoms - only one of these items is required
  • PE Socks

The following items can be purchased from any supplier (please refer to the uniform expectations document below for clarification on what is acceptable/unacceptable):

  • Blazer (please purchase school badge from school uniform shop and sew onto blazer pocket)
  • Standard Black School Trousers
  • Tailored shorts (summer only)
  • White Shirts
  • Socks
  • Shoes
  • Trainers (see below for guidance)

All other items are optional and only need purchasing if required at a later date.

Footwear for 3G Pitch

This year we are building a 3G pitch which is due to be built and in use by the end of during the Autumn Term. There will be requirements for certain footwear, please bear this in mind when purchasing footwear. These are:

Football Boots – with moulded studs, plastic screw in studs, blades or boots with medial or metal tipped studs.

The following footwear will not be allowed on the pitch – Astro Turf trainers or normal trainers.

Lockers

We have appointed ILS who manage our locker system. Lockers are allocated to existing students in May/June each year for the following September and new Year 7s will receive a letter in June.  Please see attachment below from ILS about how to reserve a locker at other points in the year.
