We've updated our uniform

Due to changes in legislation and guidance on the affordability of school uniform, we have revised our uniform policy to ensure there are only four branded items required from September 2026.

Our expectations

At Glebelands, we expect our students' uniform to reflect the high standards we set for them, and we ask our on-site uniform shop to uphold these same standards when selling uniform items.

Students who attend school in incorrect uniform will be asked to see their Head of Achievement with a letter from home, and will be issued a time-bound yellow card to resolve the issue.

School Uniform Shop

Our shop stocks both new and second-hand uniform. 

New uniform should be ordered online where possible.  Stock items are also available to purchase in person at the shop during term-time opening hours. Payment is by card only.

1. Place your order — CLICK HERE
2. Wait for your "order completed" email from Direct Clothing/Uniform Shop (normally 1–3 working days)
3. Collect your order from the shop, during opening hours only

Second Hand Uniform is available for purchase in the store.

Please note: we're unable to leave items at Reception or Student Services — orders must be collected directly from the shop.

Uniform Appointments

Current students: Opening hours are term time only, Mondays and Thursdays 3pm-4.15pm, no appointment necessary.

New students from September: Appointments are available for fitting on the uniform website.  During the summer holidays they will be open at the following times:

Getting there: Pedestrian access is via the Christopher Robin Nursery Car Park, from where the shop is signposted. Please note: there is no access through the main school site or any buildings at any time.

About the shop: The uniform shop at Glebelands is run by Direct Clothing Company, who supply over thirty schools across the UK with uniform, corporate/promotional clothing and team wear, and have over fifteen years' experience in the industry.

List of school branded items required from school shop:

• Blazer (this can be purchased elsewhere, but the school badge must be shown in the front pocket)
• Tie (black tie Year 11 students only)
• PE Polo Shirt
• PE Skort/Shorts/Leggings/tracksuit bottoms – only one of these items is required

The following items can be purchased from any supplier (please refer to the uniform expectations document below for clarification on what is acceptable/unacceptable):

• Blazer (please purchase school badge from school uniform shop and sew onto blazer pocket)
• Standard Black School Trousers
• Box Pleat Black Skirt
• Tailored shorts (summer only)
• White Shirts
• Black Socks
• Black Polishable Shoes
• Trainers (see below for guidance)

All other items are optional and only need purchasing if required at a later date.

Footwear for 3G Pitch

Our latest facility is a state of the art 3G pitch.  There are requirements for certain footwear, please bear this in mind when purchasing footwear. Normal trainers are not allowed on the pitch.

Lockers

We have appointed ILS who manage our locker system. Lockers are allocated to existing students in May/June each year for the following September and new Year 7s will receive a letter in June.  Please see attachment below from ILS about how to reserve a locker at other points in the year.
