Health and Wellbeing

You matter here — not just your grades

School is about more than lessons. How you're feeling matters too, and at Glebelands there's a whole team of people whose job is to make sure you're supported, whatever's going on.

This section is all about who can help, and how. You'll find pages on your tutor (your everyday go-to person), Pastoral Support (the wider team who help with bigger stuff, including Regulation Stations and the Inclusion Room), and Mindworks Surrey (extra support from outside school, for when you need more specialist help).

How support works: it's like a triangle

You'll see a graphic on this page shaped like a triangle. Here's how to read it:

The bottom of the triangle is for everyone. Every single student at Glebelands has access to this — your tutor, your Head of Achievement, assemblies, PSHE lessons, and general day-to-day support. You don't need to ask permission or be referred for any of this — it's just part of being at Glebelands.

As you move up the triangle, support gets more specific. If you need a bit more help than the everyday stuff — maybe you're finding things harder than usual, or a worry isn't going away — you might be referred up to more targeted support, like our Pastoral Support Workers, Regulation Stations, or the Inclusion Room.

The top of the triangle is the most specialist support, for students who need it — including outside services, who support young people with more specific emotional wellbeing and mental health needs.

The key thing to remember

You don't move up the triangle on your own — an adult you trust (usually your tutor first) will help you get to the right level of support, and you'll never be left to figure it out by yourself. Everyone starts at the bottom, and needing more support at any point is completely normal — it's not a big deal, and it's definitely not something to feel embarrassed about.

Not sure where to start? Start with your tutor. They'll help you find the right next step.
