At Glebelands School students are expected to study a wide range of subjects to give them a broad and balanced curriculum.

Curriculum Map for all Year groups

In KS 3 (Years 7-9)

The subjects studied are:
Art, Drama, English, Geography, History, IT, Learning for Life, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Music, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Science and Design Technology.

In KS 4 (Years 10-11)

Students follow a National Curriculum programme, with most subjects leading to certification at GCSE. All students follow courses in the following:

English Language, English Literature, Learning for Life, Mathematics, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Combined or Accelerated Triple Science.

Students then select either three (accelerated route) or four (core route) subjects which can be chosen from the following:

Art, CiDA, Computer Science, Drama, DT (Graphics, Resistant Materials or Textiles), Food and Nutrition, Geography, History, Modern Languages (currently French), Music, Physical Education, Triple Science.

All students selected for accelerated will have to take a language; we encourage most students to study a language to GCSE level. Please note – option subjects are revised annually and subject to change.

As part of the Waverley Federation a selection of courses are available as part of the Increased Flexibility programme. Please see the options booklet for which courses are available.
